George P. Johnson Experience Marketing Announces New Leadership Alignment in Los Angeles Office

[Los Angeles, CA] – November 3, 2015 – In the evolving experiential marketing landscape, there is unprecedented growth of digital and content integration with live events, and thus great momentum for George P. Johnson (GPJ) as a leader in these combined capacities. To capitalize on this, we are excited to announce the promotion of Chris Murphy to EVP, Global Automotive and John Capano to SVP, General Manager of GPJ’s Los Angeles office.

With an instinct for global experiential marketing and automotive trends, Murphy’s experience and influence at GPJ over the past 20 years has built strong internal and client relationships, leading to creative work that’s fueled new and organic growth across several automotive clients for both GPJ and Project: WorldWide agencies. Murphy will continue to focus on global growth for GPJ clients Nissan and Infiniti.

As a strategy expert with over two decades of marketing experience in automotive, CPG and consumer electronics, Capano will continue to work with the Toyota Group client on a global scale, oversee the Strategy & Planning group, and lead the GPJ Digital group. His talent for fostering collaboration and furthering strategic impact will be put to good use as he partners with the leaders of the Americas management team to elevate GPJ’s creative performance and digital prowess.

“This is an ideal leadership team. Murphy and Capano’s combined talents in digital, strategy, and collaboration are unparalleled. When you add that to their big personalities, big passion, and big contributions, I’m confident their guidance will elevate client success and increase our margin of leadership in the field,” said Denise Wong, President, GPJ.
